Some of you are probably wondering what happened to me, and where I've been. I can assure you, I am still alive and I didn't fall off the face of the earth. I just started teaching eighth grade.
Once the new school year started, I found myself in a completely different boat from last year- last year I had three classes, and about 70 students total. This year, I've got four classes and about 105 total students. I found myself completely overwhelmed, so I decided to take a break from the blogosphere. Any extra time in which I wasn't working or doing work-related things has been spent with my family. I'm starting to get a better handle on things, so I feel like I can come back to cyberspace and not feel like I am neglecting other duties.
A lot has changed in the months since I stopped blogging. A certain little girl is almost 2 now- she is 21 months and is talking up a storm! Everyday I am amazed by just what she knows and is able to say and do. Emorie truly is a sweet, affectionate child who also happens to be really intelligent. She is quick to shower her relatives with hugs and kisses and has the sweetest grin I've ever seen. She is a precious gift and I am so glad to be her mother.
Our family is going through some changes as well- we put our house on the market about three weeks ago. We have an idea of where we would like to move, but we are going to sell our house before we buy another. We love our house and it will be tough to leave, but we know it is the right decision. I'll say more about this at a later date.
I hope everyone is doing well- I have missed blogging, but my break from it was much needed, and I'm glad now that I took a break. It definitely feels good to return, though.
