Today, we went to the doctor for our 26-week visit.
The baby's heartbeat sounded great, and the doctor said he believes she is head down, but the way she tumbles all day long, this may be short-lived. He also said as long as she is head down at 36 weeks, she can position herself anyway she pleases between now and then and it doesn't matter. I feel her in several different spots throughout the day, so I know she must be practicing gymnastics in there!
My blood sugar is good, but the doctor still wants to do a CBC and an A1C test at our next visit. I have gained a little more weight, bringing the grand total to 11 pounds to date. Doctor also says I am measuring exactly where I should for 6 1/2 months pregnant. Luckily, I haven't had any edema, but with our due date set for late June/early July, I can't imagine I'll make it through the entire pregnancy with no swelling what so ever- stupid hot weather.
We go to the doctor every two weeks now, up until we hit 36 weeks, and then we will go weekly.
I am grateful today for a healthy baby and a clean bill of health for me. God is good- not only did he allow us to experience this miracle against all odds, but he is also keeping me and Little Girl healthy. Thanks for praying for us!
