30 weeks!

I can't believe that in 10 weeks, give or take a few, of course, we'll be meeting our precious baby girl!

What we've been up to:

We have definitely been busy this week! I have been off work on spring break, but have somehow still managed to be busy as ever. First of all, this house got a good, thorough cleaning. No drawer or cabinet was left untouched- I organized, threw away, donated and reorganized my way through this house. When that was finished, I got to work writing lesson plans for the rest of the school year...just in case something happens in the next six weeks.

I also took the time to travel to Asheboro to eat lunch with my mother-in-law and visit my mom. While I was there, I took the opportunity to finish shopping for E.D.B.'s nursery- we are planning on hanging her things tomorrow, at which case the nursery will be finished.

Friday, Michael took off work to spend my birthday with me...and what a birthday it was! The day began with a hilarious rendition of "Happy Birthday" from my husband. He must have known how much this swollen-toed pregnant chick loved her last pedicure, because he got me a gift certificate for another one. God bless him. We then met our friend Hillary in Greensboro for maternity pictures. I'm really pleased with how they turned out! Then, we went to eat dinner at PF Chang's...yum!

Maternity Pictures...just a few :)

 How I'm feeling:

Not too bad, actually. She has dropped a bit, which took pressure off my lungs, and I can breathe a lot better now. She also weighs about 3 pounds, which makes me believe she might be an early baby, though it'd be perfectly normal for her growth to slow down a bit, too. My back has been hurting and the heart burn getting worse, as she continues to grow and crowd my internal organs. I've also experienced her putting pressure on my sciatic nerve- unpleasant but certainly not unbearable. I'm also having a bit of trouble sleeping, but I'm choosing to believe that's nature's way for preparing me for the lack of sleep I'll soon be experiencing.

All in all, things are going well. I have been walking a lot, doing some yoga to help with the back pain, and trying to document all these wonderful changes I'm experiencing. And even when I'm feeling my least comfortable, I know it's all going to be worth it when I see her face.
