Our 21 week appointment on Friday went well. We did not see our primary doctor (Adkins), as we've now started seeing the rotation. I was a bit nervous about seeing a male doctor, but since all the appointment was was a basic well-being check (weight, blood pressure, urine, measurement, listening to the heartbeat), there was nothing to worry about. We saw the doctor who started the practice, whom we liked immediately. Everything was fine and the doc was pleased with my weight gain. I've got to gain 15 more pounds before the Little One makes her appearance!
This appointment marks the first one that E.D.B. has "hidden" from the doctors. The doc tried several times to hear her heartbeat, but she'd tucked herself up near my ribs, and the doctor had to search for her before finally finding her. I wasn't worried, because the entire time he was searching for her, she was kicking me!
Little One has gotten A LOT more active in the past week. I used to only feel her at night when I was lying down at night, but now I feel her all day long. Her kicks are getting stronger, too- now, Michael can feel her.
Here is what Mama looks like at 22 weeks. Notice the new haircut. It was time for something new, and I definitely needed it!
