Eleven months, Memorial Day weekend

Emorie actually turned eleven months old last Friday, May 18, but it was such a busy week that I am just now posting her eleven month update. Our little lady is cruising and walking really well pushing her stroller/table/laundry basket/ dining room chair, but she hasn't gotten brave enough to take those first steps on her own just yet. She is standing by herself, though, she just hasn't started to walk yet.

Some new updates:

Has four teeth in and two coming in
Still walking behind objects and cruising
Can stand for a minute or two without holding anything
Is now tall enough she can reach objects on top of the end tables
Dances everytime she hears music...cracks me up!!
Says Daddy (Dah-dee), Mama (Ma-ma), Bird (Bud), Dog (Daw!), Cat (Cah!), Bye-Bye, Hi, Hey, No.
Likes to play under her high chair- we're not really sure why, but it is cute.
Gets mad and throws mini-tantrums when you take something away/don't let her do something she wants to do
LOVES eating baked potatoes and macaroni (she hasn't had much table food yet but she loves those two).
Still doesn't like meat- loves Gerber organic foods in the pouches
Loves being in the water and has played in her great-grandparents' swimming pool

On Mother's Day we had her dedicated at our church. Emorie did so well- she stayed out in big church and fell asleep before the sermon ended. She loved the music and looked back at everyone looking at her. I think she liked being the center of attention!

During the dedication service.

Emorie and I on our first Mother's Day together. Love my sweet girl!

Memorial Day weekend sure was a busy one. On Saturday, we headed to Swepsonville for her cousin Caroline's first birthday party. Emorie had a good time, but was disappointed I would not let her crawl around everywhere.

Here are Emorie and her cousin with their grandmas.

On Sunday, we met up with a good friend of mine that I have not seen in a few years for lunch. We have been friends since we were eight and I was very excited for her to meet Emorie.

We celebrated Memorial Day with a trip to Kiwanis Park in Pittsboro, a playground for kids under 5. It was a very cute park, and Emorie loved it! She will surely get a kick out of it this summer.

Then, we finished up the weekend with some swimming.

Can't believe I will have a toddler in a few weeks! What a quick year this has been.
