Squirrelly Behavior

We seem to have a huge squirrell population here on Candlewood Circle. Though the furry rodents have never been my favorite animals, I've never really paid much attention to them. This week, the little nuissances managed to break not one but both of my bird feeders. I have one of those plastic tube feeders, and they managed to stick their heads in the little holes and remove the plastic stops. When you pour seed in the feeder now, it comes pouring out of the holes.

Yesterday, I was sitting on the back porch when I caught this little fellow red-handed terrorizing my wren house.

That being said, my aunt bought me a really cute schoolhouse bird feeder for my birthday. It's really cute, and actually reminds me of the Valle Crucis one-room schoolhouse behind the Mast General Store.

Hope the birds don't mess with this feeder. Any ideas on how to keep them from ransacking my feeders? I don't want to hurt them, just maybe scare them away. Suggestions would be appreciated.
