"Snow" spring break, I'm afraid

I'm ready for spring...not that it matters, because there is a good chance "spring break" will be non-existant.

Asheboro City Schools was closed Monday and today (Friday), with optional teacher workdays with two-hour delays (for staff, no kids) on Tuesday and Wednesdays. The kids game to school one day this entire week. We have had ice and snow this week, but today? Ice in the morning, but just rain the rest of the day. We seriously could have had a two-hour delay and been just fine.

As of now, two days of spring break are gone...with more nasty weather on the horizon. I don't like snow days- two-hour delays or early releases are fine, but I'm really not into having to make up days...especially when the weather is nice and I want to be outside enjoying it, but can't because those days were spent when the weather was icy and gross.

On the other hand, Michael spent some comp time and worked half a day, so getting to spend extra time with him was awesome. Even though it was a nasty day, we went to Pittsboro and ducked into some of the cute little shops along Main Street. If you haven't been in New Horizons Trading Company and Blue Sky Equestrian, I highly suggest you go there.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
